My wife is "Low Vision" and requires fit over sun glasses to block bright light. Her other ones broke and these are replacements. They fit well and based on her condition are very good on those bright sunny days.
Fit over my glasses and stay in place; block glare from all angles; interesting that they look dark from the outside but when using them and looking through them they look light.
Just had eye surgery and will have trouble with glare for awhile. 'Bought these for everyday outdoor use. These are better that ones I was given by a friend. The only defect is intrinsic to the plastic "lens" used by glasses of this type: they are not optically "perfect", not as fully without distortion as glass. I prefer to take them off when I can. That said, these are as good as I've seen... but perhaps 4.5 stars would be more accurate.
These provide good protection for me since I drive long distances but the sides where the lens meet the leg leave some distortion.
I was diagnosed with beginning cataracts in both eyes which will progress, per my optometrist, who also stated that cataracts like light. I wear progressive lenses, but they don't change fast enough; so I got these "cover ups" to wear over my glasses. They are hard plastic and come without any sort of case or bag to protect them from scratches. No matter which seller you buy from, you will need to buy a separate case to protect the glasses from scratches. The glasses do block out some of the light, but I wish they were darker.I didn't find a hard case on Amazon that would work for the cover ups, but Amazon does have a couple of pretty, lightly padded cases that work well. They don't quite close, but almost.
