These sunglasses really help when driving and the sun is coming at the driver from different angles. I used to have to keep moving the sun visor from front to side. Now I don't need to do that - only concentrate on the driving. Filters sun from all angles.
These fir over sunglasses actually fit over my old 1960s-style cateye eyeglass frames! They protect the eyes from glare even when the sun comes in from the side. They are not polarized - but do claim protection from UV light. They will fall apart easily if dropped, but my experience is that it is easy to put them back together. I store them in a very large hard case to keep them from getting scratched when not in use. Very similar to the original Solarshield (trademarked) sunglasses, except that they are not polarized.
Pros: these work well, fit easily over glasses, and have a lip over the top of the glasses that prevents sun from shining into your eyes over the top.Cons:1-there is a prop 65 warning on small plastic envelope that protects them from scratching in the larger envelope. Nowhere in on the Amazon page is this mentioned.2-the price has jumped dramatically from $11.99 in ‘21 to the $26+ I just paid. I have purchased them a few times between, having lost or broken them. I know things cost more now but this was a big leap. These are like cheap sunglasses you get to protect your eyes, only sunglasses colored.
Very functional sunglasses. They fit my huge gorilla noggin, and evidently very big glasses. More aesthetically pleasing glasses do not fit those, so I got these. If you are modeling for Vogue, these might not be suitable, unless you are trying to hide your face also. Driving with these really make you wish you had darker window tint as you will look like a nursing home escapee, like me. BUT they do shade the sun, so who cares how we look? Not like we're trying to attract pretty girls at the beach.
Likes: they really do work. Well enough I’ll probably buy again (lost first pair). But be warned: they get super hot when wearing in the sun—these would be perfect if the manufacturer added vents—and if you are driving they will pull your prescription glasses off if you try to take them off, so you might need to buy straps to hold your prescription glasses on if you are on a long drive and need to take these off quickly (if they get foggy or when you’re approaching a tunnel). Otherwise they’d be 5 stars.
