The grinderPUNCH XL Men's Big Wide Frame Polarized Sunglasses are a pretty bold design with large lenses and wide arms. Not subtle at all. Not a bad thing if you want to make a style statement.Nice that they come with a semi-rigid case. Lately when I get sunglasses they come with a little fabric baggie. The case has an attached mini carabiner if you want to hook it to your bag or belt loop. The case is deeper than others I've had to accommodate the slightly oversized lenses.Lenses are clear and I noticed no distortion. The frames have a fair bit of flex in them. The hinges do NOT have that spring design, but the flex in the frames compensates for that. Works as expected.

I love how they fit on my big head. I normally can’t wear regular ones because they end up giving me a headache. They tend to be too tight on my head. The XL shades don’t give me this problem and I have even received compliments on the design. The tint is also really dark so helps with the sun. Pretty decent.

I have a pretty big head, and most things made to fit on normal sized heads—like hats, caps, and sunglasses—just barely fit, if they fit at all. That’s why I’m always excited to come across things designed for the likes of my nearly size 8 dome.These classically styled shades from grinderPUNCH are perfect for me.Now, I do have an expensive pair of XL-sized Costas, but those have glass lenses and are much more substantial. Which means they’re much more heavy. Which means they actually get kind of uncomfortable after a while. These, on the other hand, are extremely lightweight, and theyre inexpensive enough that I won’t lose my mind if I lose them in the briny.The construction is good, and the matte-finish plastic is attractive and feels durable. The hinges also look to be solid and long-lasting, and they open and close smoothly but aren’t loose or cheap-feeling. The tint is good, too. I live in a bright, sunny environment, and these make everything much easier on the eyes.The only downside to these sunglasses is that the lenses are made from some kind of polycarbonate material, which makes them prone to micro-scratches and “clouding” unless you’re extremely careful and wipe them down only with clean microfiber cloths.Of course, this isn’t a knock on these grinderPUNCH glasses specifically. Every pair of sunglasses anywhere near this price point is going to have plastic lenses of some kind, and they’re all equally delicate. (If you want glass lenses, you’ll need to pony up the big bucks for a pair of Costa Del Mars or Maui Jims.)These glasses don’t come with a hard case or any fancy extras, but you do get a soft carry pouch with a drawstring closure, which is actually pretty nice.
