These are equivalent to the Solar shield brand of wrap around sunglasses for my prescription eyeglasses that finally broke. The grinderPunch temple pieces are rubber coated and the Solar Shield are not. The lenses are on the flimsy side on both brand. Better price point on the grinderPUNCH brand.
These wear over sunglasses are a good buy at $24.99 for two pairs. I've paid $20 for Sun Shields at CVS. They provide good protection from the sun and clear vision. The frames are nice. I ordered large because I knew too big was better than too small. They are quite large. I could have used a medium. I believe there were some dimensions provided but I didn't bother to try to figure it out.
I purchased the large, and they are very large. Still fit my head well, and I wish I'd had these back when I wore contacts. I'm going to give mine to a friend with a bigger head, and have already ordered another set in the medium size. They offer ample room for your prescription glasses and shade all around your eyes. If you have dry, watery, or sensitive eyes, I recommend these even if you don't wear glasses.I received my first pair at a reduced price, in exchange for an honest review. I'm happy to pay regular price for a second pair.
I had been buying fit o ers at my local big box store. I usually end up buying 2 - 3 pairs every sSpring, as I'm not only clumsy, but also loose a pair or two through the year. Well, not only has the price at my local store has gone up to $20 a pair, but the quality has gone down. I cannot find a pair locally that doesn't have very skinny temple pie es right where they fit over your ear. This thinness makes them much more prone to breaking at this point. I decided to see if I could find some better designed ones on the net. Not only are these better designed and more comfortable, you get two pairs for the price of one at the big box store. And free shipping and free returns. They are nice and dark in the black and polarized. Not only that, but the temple pieces are spring loaded and the tips have a rubbery coating so they fit comfortably and stay on!! Plus shipping was super fast. What more could one want. I'll definitely buy my future fit overs from here; infact, my hubby wants me to order him some.
I have had a pair of Cocoon sunglasses for a long time and they broke and I couldn't find any but I found these that look kind of like Cocoon but a lot more reasonable price. I love them. They fit over my glasses perfectly and I love the clearness I get. Blocks lights and glare.
